A Word of encouragement for this time

Listen to what the Lord is saying now – “The days are coming when many shall turn to me. Those who doubt now, those who do not believe in Me now, those who have wandered off like lost sheep. I am raising a new end-time army of believers.

Those who will believe despite what circumstances scream out to them;
those who believe despite and whatever the world throws at them;
those who will believe through the worst possible persecution – even unto death.

The world is turning against Me”, says the Lord, “ but I already knew this before I laid the foundations of the earth. The world does not realise this, yet even if they did, yet they would still despise Me. And they will despise you too because you speak My Name – because you believe in Me and in the One I sent.

Even so,” says the Lord, “because your hope is steadfast and is rooted in Me, yet will I uphold you; yet will I justify you even in the worlds eyes.

Do not lose sight of My Kingdom for it shall be your reward.
Do not bow the knee to anyone but My Son for He is your saviour.

Always remember that I, the Lord God Almighty, love you and I am with you – even to the end of the age. I am your provider. I am your Father. I love you – even you.”

RoFMI Ministry Trip to Denmark September 2009

After a two month break the team consisting of Peter, Jean & Keith Perrin, and myself set out once again for Denmark. Little did any of us realise what a significant trip this would be – but more of that later. This was Jean & Keith’s first trip with RoFMI. The trip was to include a seminar on Spiritual Warfare and, as Jean & Keith worked for Derek Prince Ministries for a few years, they were our first choice. Also, just for a change, I went along as camera man and gopher with no speaking schedule at all – So why did I lose my voice when we came back ???

So off we went, bright and early on Thursday the 10th September. Safe flight negotiated, we started with a tour of Copenhagen for Jean & Keith as they had not been there before. After lunch back at Pinsekirken in Korsor, with our hosts Pastors Maureen & Preben Westh, we set off for Bo & Bente Schultz who have a home church close to Copenhagen. About 18 people turned up including visiting pastors from other local churches.

So Peter kicked off with several testimonies of miraculous happenings – like the man who spoke very little English who started to translate for us when the young lady assigned to the job could no longer do so; or the barren woman who was prophesied to have children and is now pregnant; or the elderly man healed of cancer with his ministry completely restored. There were other examples too. As Peter explained, the Jesus of the Bible is still the same today – the Jesus who calmed the storm and stilled the wind is the same Jesus working His miracles today. He spoke about knowing our authority in Christ. He called for words of knowledge and prophecy to everyone present and a lengthy period of ministry followed with several people receiving either prophecy or deliverance from oppression and bondage.

On Friday morning we did something different – we had a tour of Korsor as, although we have stayed there five times in all, we have never had a look round the town. After lunch we set out for Lohals, a town on Langeland where we have visited before. Pastor Sven-Ole was there to greet us all (about 10 people went) so quite a few of us gathered for a time of anointed praise and worship. Jean was first up with a testimony then Peter spoke on Simeon and how he “saw the salvation of the Lord” – that passage of the Word that gives us the words for Nunc Dimitis “Lord now let thy servant depart in peace . . . . “

Peter went on to describe what happened at the Gospel Channel in Iceland and prophesied that similar things were about to be birthed in Langeland. He said Langeland is blessed because “God has chosen it a s a place of residence” He addressed the doubts of some older people there by pointing to Reg Chapman and Arthur Burt – two 90+ year olds still working and bearing much fruit for the Lord in old age. He pointed out that Arthur Burt – an assistant to Smith Wigglesworth – has been promised by the Lord that “you will see the end-time revival” and that therefore, time must be quite short !! He closed by saying that all of this is Gods Promise.

There followed an anointed time of prophecy, words of knowledge and ministry. Peter was given a very strange song to sing – “I’m gonna wash that man right out of my hair” !! Very odd until we learned the reasons behind the song. We were also taken back to a prophecy we had given some time ago about revival fires standing ready but unlit all around Langeland. We saw angels standing ready to light the fires and we were instructed by the Lord to release the angels to light the revival fires on the island. This was one of those precious moments when everyone present seemed to be deeply affected by the anointing and presence of God in that place.

Saturday – Seminar day on Spiritual Warfare. Quite a few people came to Pinsekirken for this teaching event from a lot of churches throughout the southern half of Denmark. Pastor Preben had put in a great deal of work to ensure that many came along to hear it all. Keith and Jean shared the teaching over three sessions but we only really scratched the surface as the full teaching could take around 9-12 hours and we only had three sessions of just over an hour’s teaching. They explained why and how Christians can have demons, how they attach, who they are, why they stay, and their authority to do so !! We were also taught about our authority to deal with them. We learned about the cause and power of curses, self-imposed and spoken by others including those from God or from Satan. There was a protracted ministry session afterwards and many people were prayed for and helped – released. Lots of smiling faces.

After dinner with Maureen & Preben, Peter Jean, & Keith went round to visit a family living close by whom we had met before. They had a blessed time of fellowship and prayer with Tony, Ohn, and their daughter Nanna. While they were there, I stayed with Preben to sort out some ‘admin’ and to discuss future visits. We will be going back a couple of times just to meet folk in their homes and fellowship with them there. This is a new departure for us but we feel led to do so by the Lord and the people certainly want and appreciate it – especially those who may be sick or otherwise unable to come to church when we are there. A little more of this later.

On Sunday, Jean & Keith stayed in Pinsekirken, while Peter and I went to Kalundborg, where we visited last time over there. Pastor Jonah and his lovely wife were there to greet us with their children. We discovered that, in accordance with prophecy previously given to them, new people have indeed joined them. One man, a teacher, had applied for over 350 jobs in Denmark and Sweden. The man is a theology graduate and speaks six languages fluently. He saw the job in Kalundborg and say it had to be a written application – no email ones would be accepted. He called and they welcomed his call and said they would accept an email application and he got the job with no trouble at all – Gods provision for him and the church there. Also, on Sunday morning. A young lady came for the first time. She was from Romania and her testimony is astonishing. Told by her church in Romania that if she did not cover her head in church, she would go to hell AND taught that women must not only sit apart from the men in church but MUST remain silent or be thrown out and again, presumably, also being consigned to hell again. See a little later for her testimony. Suffice to say now that it is very moving example of how God’s hand protects us.

Peter spoke to the people about how God loves them and regards them as beautiful no matter what the world may say to or about them. He updated them with testimonies and prophesies given last time we were there. His theme was simply “Come unto me all who are heavy laden . . . “ He explained that God is a God of ‘suddenlies’ because God used Jesus to pay the price for us with His precious Blood. He explained that God crucifies us, (the team), daily so that we can bring His love to people. Prayer and ministry followed.

Sunday evening Peter was up again and he started by going over the visit so far. He encouraged people by reminding them of Jeans testimony of God’s love; he told them of the word he had for the pastor of the local Lutheran (State) Church about prayer meetings in their church – about “re-digging the old wells of the old established churches in Denmark – Lutherans and Baptists in particular. He said that God “Will sweep through those churches – changing everything, even their constitution ”!!

He then startled some people by calling for testimonies from some unsuspecting saints. Pastor Hans-Ole Kofoed gave his testimony of fulfilled promises and prophecy. Then came Dorina, the young lady from Romania who I mentioned earlier. When she was younger, her mother was unable to look after her and she was transferred into a local orphanage. At age 10, the orphanage was approached by a Romanian agency who wanted to send the children on holidays to Italy. People were lined up for each child. However, because her mother was unable to sign the appropriate form, Dorina was not allowed to go !! It turned out that the ‘holiday’ was a scam. The host families in Italy didn’t exist and the purpose was to gain children so as to remove their vital organs for organ sale/donation purposes !! Dorina completed her education and now speaks 6 languages and is working in Kalundborg. She came to the church that morning because they have a man preacher !! As Peter pointed out, we had met her in the morning and by the evening, she had come to church without a headscarf AND she had just spoken and addressed the church !! Her face when she realised these things was a picture. Our God is a wonderful God.

So finally to Monday. Before we cam e home we had three visits lined up. We visited Pastor Kofoed in his church in Ringsted – a town about half way to Copenhagen and the airport. We had a short time of prayer and fellowship there. Then we went on to a man called Frank who is a serious biker (Harley Davidson’s!!) He came to the Lord a while ago and is involved in the Biker Church – a group who ride around the country taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ to fellow unsaved bikers. He had a serious accident 5 or 6 years ago and has been unable to ride since then. We prayed for his healing and are awaiting an update although I do have to tell you that I watched his leg grow about half an inch and I watched his shoulders completely straighten while we prayed !! Hallelujah. Finally, we popped into the main hospital in Copenhagen where a lady in Preben’s church has had a heart operation and is waiting for a pacemaker to be implanted. We had another anointed time with her in fellowship and prayer.

So home we came, full of praise for our wonderful God & Saviour. We know we will go back many times and indeed Dates in November, December, and January are already under discussion – mainly for home fellowship and individual visits.

Lead on Lord – we are willing. Next up – we are doing the same seminar for the C of E in Romford, London (Essex) next weekend !!
